The Irmo High School Education Foundation asked me to photograph their Academic & Awards Banquet. The Foundation devotes a great deal of time and effort into improving and recognizing academic excellence. It is headed by a pair of Irmo alumni (and fellow classmates I proudly add) Danny and Mandy Westerkam. They were always involved in bettering the High School as students in 1982 and it was wonderful to see that spirit unabated in 2012. As you can see, the kids appreciated it too.
