DWF – International Wedding Photographer’s Convention

You may think that when attending an “International Wedding Photographer’s Convention” you’d end up with a lot of wedding photos. In 6 days in Phoenix, I only saw two “brides” and they were part of other photographer’s presentations. Still, there’s plenty to shoot in the desert. Most of them have very, very, sharp thorns. Not the place to go streaking.

A couple of people shots, a few on form and texture. There’s just not enough time to get all the shooting done you’d like. Hope you enjoy.

Sticking my camera into this charming little shrub was a bit nerve racking.

Known widely as the creator of the “Trash the Dress” session, Las Vegas based photographer, John Michael Cooper presents a lighting seminar. Have a look at his website.

The DWF is truly one of the best resources for wedding photographers in the world. From San Francisco to New York, you get to meet wedding photojournalists, creative artists, and just great people.

Love the first photo, btw – that should be a large print somewhere!
